On September 28, 2013, Leveling the Playing Field will host its inaugural 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at Hanes Hosiery Community Center. Teams of 3-4 will be grouped by age, and each will qualify for a single elimination bracket. Attendance is FREE. Please register your team prior to the event! T-shirts will be provided to participants. The event will also include music, contests, raffle prizes, a silent auction, concessions and an autograph session with the Wake Forest University men’s and women’s basketball teams.
All proceeds from this tournament will benefit The Children’s Home, Boy’s & Girl’s Club, and the Big Brother Big Sister program. With a wide variety of sporting equipment, the funds will allow us to begin making sure that every child in Winston Salem will have the ability to grab a basketball and go to the park to shoot hoops, thereby leveling the playing field.
